| Market Conference | Vending machines are the number one snack solution in the workplace and consumers are increasingly comparing them with other catering services. As other channels such as bakeries and takeaway cafes expand their offer, consumers expect vending machines to follow suit by changing the variety, quality, balance and price of their product mix. The vending sector remains under-represented in the lunch break segment and there is still scope for development to capture a larger market share within this niche, for example by adapting its offer, and/or creating spaces better suited to this type of consumption. The vending sector still faces a number of challenges if it is to compete with other catering channels. Some vending system managers have already responded by developing dedicated vending spaces within the workplace. |

| Round-Table Conference | The vending sector must reinvent itself and adapt to today's consumers, who represent potential customers looking for food solutions anytime and anywhere – in the office, street, bus and train stations, and in captive environments such as hospitals, parks and campsites, or close to home. They're after sweet or savoury energy-boosting snacks, tasty treats or a healthy option to nibble on during a break, or a full meal solution to save time. In short, the vending sector still has great potential to offer solutions suitable for any time of day or night. The one area where there is a real need for diversification is in providing healthier products for a balanced diet. |

| Round-Table Conference | The success of automatic distribution (AD) is first and foremost based on high performance automatons, on the cutting edge of technology, assuring quality of service and proposing a product offering meeting the needs of the most demanding of customers. Offering increased levels of comfort and ease of use for consumers, both in terms of ergonomics and means of payment, but also more flexibility for decision-making clients, creating new tools and systems for improved AD management… these are the stakes of AD today. AD's success is of course centred on convergence and mobility. So what are the most pertinent and promising technological innovations for AD? What feedback exists on the use of these new technologies? How do convergence and mobility transform attitudes with regard to AD? What technologies developed in other sectors and markets could be adopted to AD in the future? |
