The International Business Day on October 26

On Friday, the International Business Day will offer extensive review of the vending international scene with the presentation of the most innovative products of the  market and the contributions of the best experts of European vending associations such as NAVSA (French Vending Association), EVA (European Vending Association), Confinda (Italian Association of Vending Machines), BDV (German Vending Association) or AVA (Automatic Vending Association).

On this occasion, a rich program of talks and debates will be proposed in English:

- 10 am: The legislative trends of Brussels
Chaired by Erwin Wetzel, Regulatory Affairs Manager, EVA (European Vending Association)

- 10.40 am : A presentation of the European trends since 2008
Chaired by Catherine Piana, General Director, EVA (European Vending Association)

- 11.30 am: Opportunities and threats of the local markets
Chaired by Catherine Piana, General Director, EVA (European Vending Association) With:

Catherine Piana, General Director - EVA


Catherine Piana has been the Director General of the European Vending Association since 1997, dealing with a wide range of European policy issues.
She has launched and supervised a number of successful projects such as the first vending market and consumer report, the creation and management of the Worldwide Vending Association and the integration of the European Vending Machine Manufacturers Association.

Under her leadership, the EVA's activities and income have expanded, and the membership has doubled in spite of the strong consolidation trend. Before joining the EVA, Catherine has worked for EuroCommerce, the retailers organization in Brussels. A trained translator, and holder of an MBA, Catherine is a Certified Neurolinguistic Programming Master Practitioner, and a Certified Trainer and Coach. She speaks 6 languages.

Erwin Wetzel, Regulatory Affairs Manager - EVA


Erwin Wetzel joined the EVA in February 2011 as the new Regulatory Affairs Manager. In this function he promotes the interests of the vending industry within the European institutions. Erwin is both an Austrian and French national. He speaks German and French at native speaker level, and is also fluent in English, with conversational level in Spanish. He holds two Master Degrees, one in Political Science from the University of Innsbruck, and a Masters of Arts in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.


Erwin has had several professional experiences, assisting Members of the European Parliament, and of the Committee of the Regions. From 2009 to 2010 he also led the Brussels office of the Austrian Association of Municipalities where he mainly covered Energy, Environment and Regional Development policies."

Dr. Aris Kaschefi - President - BDV


Dr. Aris Kaschefi was born in 1974. He studied at Cologne University, where he also completed his PhD, and at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University Paris 1. He established his legal practice at Cologne in 2003, specialising in commercial law, before transferring to the BDV in 2005 in order to further his career. In 2011 the BDV appointed the previous deputy MD Aris Kaschefi, as the new Managing Director.

Jonathan Hilder CEO Automatic Vending Association


Jonathan Hilder became the CEO of the AVA in December 2009 following a career in Finance where he was responsible for funding over £200m of vending machines in the UK market working for Barclay, Rothchilds, Schroders and Siemens. He then ran his own vending business which covered operating, cigars and healthy vending. He also consulted in vending with two major brands in the UK as well as with companies in Eastern Europe, Israel and Brazil.


Since taking office, Jonathan's passionate approach to vending has infiltrated the AVA which is fast becoming a modern and dynamic association with a new Mission statement " To develop, protect and evangelise the use of vending in the UK".

Lucio Pinetti - CONFIDA President


Following studies in chemistry, Mr. Pinetti worked as a researcher in a center for the development of new processes and products in the field of plastic conversion.
In 1990 he pursued his career as officer at Unionplast, the Italian Association of Plastic Converters. During this time he held various posts in different Italian and European Organisations such as:

General Secretary of Assorimap "Italian Association of Plastics Recycling",
General Secretary of EupR "European Association of Plastics Recycling",
Member of the Board of the Italian Institute of Packaging,

He also became a Member of several environmental committees at national and European level.
From 1997 to 2000 he became the Director General of CONFIDA, the Italian Vending Association and, in his capacity as President of "Venditalia Servizi", created and organized "Venditalia", the Vending Exhibition.

In 2001 he left the world of associations and set up a vending company named Pit Stop Matik.
In 2007 Pit Stop Matik merged with Liomatic, one of the most important Italian Vending Operators. In Liomatic he became P.R and Communication Manager. From 2010 he is President of CONFIDA and Venditalia Servizi

Boris Belotserkovsky – RNVA President


Born in 1954, Graduated from Leningrad Institute of Aviation Engeneering.
In 1990 originated the company UNICUM – the leading vending machines and kiosks manufacturer.
In 2007 – Boris Belotserkovsky originated the company Uvenco – now the biggest Russian vending machines operator.
In 2009 Mr. Belotserkovsky was elected the President of Russian National Vending Association.
In 2004 Boris Belotsekovsky was awarded with the award for "Enforcing the competion in Russia"
